Development of Tax Mobile Application

The Brief

One of the Big 4 firms came to us to develop a Global Mobile app for the US partnership on iOS, Android and Windows platforms. The apps are to be used by the US firm's clients to track and record their travel patterns and locations to allow detailed completion of tax returns and to optimise corporate and individual tax positions.

The Solution

Creating a Middleware application to interface between the apps and the existing Web Service to allow for the separation and abstraction from the back-end Web Service. Integrating the Middleware with the back-end Web Service.

The apps functionality include:

Using the device’s GPS
WiFi and Cellular connects for geo-location tracking
Using the phone’s calendar application to populate with travel details
Security and encryption
Travel recording
