Apps that offer functionality and business value frequently require integration with back-end Web Services. We develop those types of back-end Web Services. This either gives us a more solid and clearer understanding of the requirements. Or is we are doing the development. Either way, it saves integration cost and time.
We have been developing mobile apps for around a decade, across all of the major platforms. Though the market is settling on iOS and Android only, we do have Windows and BlackBerry experience.
We have a track record of stepping in and saving mobile developments. Either where we were the back-end system provider and were asked to step forward to takeover, or where a previous developer struggled.
Our apps are used by senior executives of Fortune 250 companies. They are also used by Sales Reps in the Field and by H&S teams on Oil Rigs. We understand the UX challenges these scenarios bring. We also understand the business imperatives and where the value lies.
We have developed apps that have been distributed over MDM systems like MobileIron. We also provide Enterprise distribution for apps that do not need to feature on the App Store.
We provide Second Line Support. We provide you with the tools to manage First Line Support. Our systems give you (user interface) visibility of the User Logs and the tools to diagnose user issues yourself. Our Second Line support has a service level agreement (SLA) and we provide access to our in-house developers via our helpdesk.
We offer two approaches: Native and Hybrid.
Native development delivers a better experience over hybrid for apps that have significant offline functionality. Most of our apps though are connected to Business Systems and therefore require data and Web Services to function fully. In those instance we tend to develop them following a Hybid approach using Xamarin. That allows us to “write once” in .NET and C# and deploy to both major platforms (Android and iOS).
It both cases, it is a discussion with you about costs and benefits.
Developing an app is the start of the journey. Users expect updates. Mobile technology progresses more quickly that desktop. Your app will require support and ongoing development.
We work with you to determine those future developments. We focus on a development path that is unlocks value for you, delivering features and updates that your users wants.
We can provide that second-line support, with an agreed service level agreement (SLA) and access to our in-house developers via our helpdesk. We are also comfortable taking on existing apps or failed developments, we have a tracked record of doing both.
It’s important to us that you get the right solution for your needs, objectives and budget – for example we would never offer to build a mobile app if we felt you could achieve the same app-style capability, for less money, on a mobile-friendly website or a bot.
That’s why, before we even start to think about the build, we talk to you about what you’re trying to achieve, and then work back to be absolutely sure that a mobile app is more suitable than say, a web app, a desktop app or a bot. We recommend building mobile apps when you want:
